    Hi Frank,

Sorry... I just noticed I had a message. Trev and I were emailing recently and he recommended I hop over here. He mentioned you were here, too!

Hey Frank. TrevCircleStudios was kind enough to suggest I ask you a question regarding room acoustics, hope you can take the time to help with my problem!
Basically, I'm recording all of my music in my bedroom - I have a blue bluebird on it's way with an m-audio fast track pro interface, and that is currently it! I am a complete novice when it comes to room acoustics - I've done some research regarding the kinds of "panels" you can put on walls to help kill sounds in the room, but there are that many options to choose from that it's actually confusing me more! I'm wanting to reduce the sounds in my room to as little as possible, so that when I'm recording vocals, the only thing it is listening to is me...
The room itself is obscurely shaped - my ceiling is slanted, going from the shortest point, 7.3 ft high, to the tallest point, 10.2 ft high. The wall of the shortest point has a big window, and the wall of the tallest point is hollow. I'm not sure if these factors are good or bad, but thought they might help...
Could you suggest any types of wall panels that would be of use to me for recording vocals? Any help at all greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

Soooooo... if I was pondering a handful of these here GIK traps to use as gobos, would the 244s be the way to go?

    Hi Frank,

Trev recommended I pm you about upgrading the valves in my ART MPA Gold. What would you recommend for a fuller, warmer sound with a smoother top end?
