Default Logic has just done the oddest thing whilst bouncing

Ok. I went back into an old project that works fine. Since I got my new PSP toys, I wanted to try out the Nitro eq on a track that sounded fine, but a little muddy.

When I pressed bounce, Logic started off doing it's usual thing. What was odd though...is that it ran the bounce twice; one after the other into one file. On the second bounce, it started playing obsolete parts that I'd shifted outside of the bounce region because; well I didn't need them, but keep them there for easy experimentation.

The other thing is that the second pass sounds different to the first. The effects/processes sound slightly off, the guitar is clearly louder... how odd does a daw wanna be !

Oh, and where the devil is the period button that goes with command to stop a bounce ?

If you need any more info:
Macbook 2.2 Dual Core
2 Gig Ram
LogicPro8
Iomega Ext FW Drive
Focusrite Sapphire

The project itself is made up of about 21 tracks in total. And all I've changed sicne the last save was inserted the nitro onto the master out, and brought the bass fader up slightly..

To the left of the '/' key and to the right of the ',' key (just above the right command key, actually. As for your actual problem, no idea, but not surprised, it's little bizarre occurrences such as that which are keeping Logic from being my full-time production platform.

Thanks for that !

I'd go for Logic. 8.2 and 10.5.4 has worked great for me. Somehow, Logic managed to select everything, on every track, then duplicate it and extend the bounce region to fit. I swear I didn't push anything..

To be fair, it's the oddest fault I've heard, and it could have been something I did. But I doubt it.

have you tried bouncing it again and seeing if it happens again? did the second run take as much time as the first because logic has ALOT of graphical bugs, harmless but still bugs (2 play heads etc)

Even odder. I've just found.

When I bounced the last time. I told it to bounce to wav and mp3. I kept the same names, and it correctly asked me if I would like to overwrite the files. I said yes..

The wav updated to the new version, but the mp3 didn't. It still plays the track twice, with the changed elements and unwanted samples. Even though I corrected the project by removing the repeated regions and unwanted samples..

Looks Like i will be authoring mp3's in Soundtrack or something else from now on !
