Well. Mainstage shows up and instals the update fine.

Logic9 doesnt, and even after manually d/loading the update...the installer then says my machine doesn't need this update....when it clearly does.

Off to the mac store in the morning for them to figure it out !

did you enter a serial and is it an educational update or straight retail version?

I bought at an edu price, but my original L8 box says it is retail edition.

Oddly, the L9 serial just worked when I registered it to my mac login details, but wouldn't be previously accepted by the page I wanted to dl from.

can you "downgrade" to educational on an update, bet that where the issue is. apple are probably not cross referencing it in that way

Well. If my license is not valid, why let me register it. Or why let it even install to begin with?

I think its just a genuine flaw somewhere with OSX or Logic. Anyhow...I found a way round it. New post with vid coming shortly.

Because the full version is cheaper than the upgrade version from the edu store.
