Default The OFFICIAL PDFs of User Manuals for Logic Pro 9 are available!

Hi All

While browsing another forum I came across this and thought others might find it useful:

http://www.gearslutz.com/board/music...df-manual.html

Seems that some kind user has PDFed the Logic 9 Manual. I’ve had a quick look and seems good to me.

I've has a quick scan through this and I've noticed some important pages missing so far.. I'd avoid this and stick to the official online Apple resource until such time an official one appeears..

Fair point. But I've seen so many people talking about the lack of PDF manual, that I thought I'd post the link.

It's also (somewhat) useful for people with main machines not connected to the internet.

I'm not holding my breath for Apple to release a PDF manual. The fact that the new FCP has the same lack of PDF shows that this is most likely a definite move on Apple's part , not just a "we ran out of time"

Seems odd that you can't even buy a full manual. Not like Apple to pass an opportunity to make money ...

odd how Logic 9's box is so small in comparison, im not sure how Logic 7 was but was told it seems to be the only dance move apple knows
big box, small box... now lets all make some shapes

It is odd.

I'm not even really that worried about the price increase (especially since i won my copy ), just the fact that you can't even BUY the PDF or paper manual.

The online one is so so - but the searching? Sheesh. Have you managed to do a search of just the Logic manual? Every time I do a search, it shows hits from Soundtrack Pro, FCP, Motion and all the other Apple stuff. Not useful.

Here's another good one - a new feature of LP9 is the "Speed Fade". Look that up in the manual (with the inverted commas) and you receive NO search results.

Yes if you search for Speed Fade without the inverted commas you receive 26 matches (including the correct hit), but only nine of those are for Logic Studio or Logic Pro. An index would help considerably!

Ah well!

Looks like I am going to have to eat my words after all!

Apple have done the decent thing and published full PDFs of all manuals.

Shame they couldn’t have simply said “we will make them available in August” – it wouldn’t have saved a lot of net-ranting and heartache!

Thanks Modz1, I should have put the link in.

I tried to change the title of the thread to show that there were now official PDFs available - but it was beyond me!
