OK so some more odd changes im finding, after setting merge with highlighted regions while recording i find that if i quickly punch in while playing it unhighlights the selected region and records a new region, if i high light the region and press record from stop it merges

Had installed the loops library without a hitch it was when looking to use the loops in a project, it came with an error saying they 'could not be found'

ok the link you posted is for loops that where not installed, your problem was not finding them.

in the case of not finding them you simply reindex the apple loops and logic will scan your folders and re asses whats where etc etc

Apple should have let registered Logic users beta test for them like what Ableton and Propellerhead did.
