I think they're just sound libraries that are compatible with most software aren't they?

I've just realised I used one (or maybe even an E3) in 1988 in Arkantide Studios - North London somewhere. At the time all I had was an Alpha Juno 1 and I was in a rock/pop band. It blew me away, and I spent about 2-3 hours just going through all the sounds. Not great at £25/hr (NIGHT RATE!). I ended up using a guitar power chord sample on a song called E-Type.....cos it was in E minor.

See i find it very unfortunate that im not older. ive missed out on all the good synths (IMO) wavestations, emulators, m1s, microwaves, morpheus/proteus. now what do we have ? roland fantoms (sorry if anyone has one, no offence intended). give me something that makes me think "WOW, HOW DOES IT DO THAT!" in hardware form please
