Unhappy Behringer ULTRABASS PRO EX1200

I was just thinking of adding the Behringer ULTRABASS PRO EX1200 to help enhance films like, “The Towering Inferno” (1974) that may benefit from some extra low end enhancement.

I see that model is discontinued and that makes it hard to obtain one. I’m not certain if DV247 has any of these still in any of your warehouses, as I would like to purchase a model for the home cinema.

Text from Behringer

“The ULTRABASS PRO generates musically consequential subharmonics that can be set to one or two octaves below the lowest frequencies present in the original signal. Based on waveform analysis, the generated tones harmonize perfectly with the original sound, giving you big, fat low end, while the integrated limiter effectively protects your system from overloading.”

Yeah its been replaced by the 2 new Sonic Exciters/ultramizers:

sonic exciter

to be honest tho the Aphex 204 is much better. The best bass enhancer behringer made was the valve t1954 but the valve section didnt exactly do much(just added some high end hiss as with all the ultra series) but the bass from that was killer.

Thanks JAYDMF Someone brought up the dbx 120A on different site and thou I’ve mentioned it before in the past I, just was thinking to well tonight. I like the price of the Behringer audio products that I do. I also like the look of the now discontinued PRO EX1200. I’m a sucker for LED barograph displays I guess.

Anyway I’m looking for simple product to do wonders with some old soundtracks that I can bypass or activate to give but a few bit more sonic enhancement.
