Default *Tips hat*

Excelsior!

I'm a newbie at DV, and will be onboard in a journalism/web publishing capacity; it's nice to see a healthy forum from the get-go, and I look forward to arguing with all of you about nut width (oo er), true bypass and whether or not that Peter Green pickup really *was* on backwards.

I'm here following tenures as sub, deputy and editor at Guitar Buyer mag, Playmusic and Audience/Liveuk respectively, as well as being an oft-gigging guitarist and general home-studio layabout. I also play viola, for wildcard bonus points, so if anyone else is into recording strings, lets talk.

I will also have a blog on the DV site, so watch out for that. Otherwise, keep calm and carry on.

Oh, and just to be clear, I like everything but prog. Sorry, Rush fans!

Rob

Triangle already gone was it when you arrived? That'll teach you to arrive late for orchestra try outs. Btw, Pete Green's head was on backwards for many years.

I can only advise and guide you but you will have to try and make it through your own talent. I had a dream. I fulfilled that dream. Sadly, it was a dream about not amounting to much. But that's not the point.

Welcome aboard!

Default Hah, indeed

Viola - the poor man's everything etc etc. I have to say, at least a triangle would get me a lot less stick for playing it!

How do you stop a viola player from drowning? Take your foot off his head...
