Default I'm here, the party can start now!

Hi everyone,

I'm Aric Keith. I'm from the west coast of the USA, and I've been at this recording thing for a few years. I've improved a lot but there's a whole realm of quality that I can't break into and it's driving me nuts.

Anyway, I'll see you on the fora!

Aric

Aric hide's his light under a bushel. It's great to see him arrive here - we can all learn a lot from him. He once performed recorded and mixed one of the best version's of Bohemian Rhapsody I've ever heard.

WOW! Just finished listening to Aric's version of Bohemian Rhapsody... bit of a masterclass in spatial placement within a mix.

Very nicely done Aric, and welcome to the forum!

Well, I'm glad you guys like it. I only hear the flaws! Opera section is weak, the whole thing lacks dynamics. The original has these great little slows and pushes during the verses which I didn't get because I used a click track. Drives me nuts to listen to it, but since I did it all on budget gear by myself (except for drumming) I guess it's still something of an accomplishment.

I think "It's Late" is a better example of good rock'n'roll mixing on my end. I've got a bunch of tunes on my samples page, most of which I'm proud of in some way or another.
