Default Free Proteus X2 Software/Sound Libraries

After having a bit of a clear out, i've just come across a bunch of discs that i got when buying a keyboard.

They are:
  • Proteus X2 Software sound module
  • Studio Grand Installation
  • Beat Shop One Installation
  • X Producer Installation
  • Planet Earth X2 World Sound Library
  • Mo'Phatt X Urban Dance Sound Library
  • Protean Drums Acoustic/Electronic Drum sound library

I've never used them as they're Windows only, so whoever thinks they'll get some use out of them give us a shout and i'll send them on.

Normally, advertising/re-selling software of any description is not allowed on our Forums, but of course in this case, Tif is simply giving away his stuff freely and without profit.. so, cool (Nice gesture Tif)

If they are still going then I'll take them.

I'm still using single glazing.

Cheers

I don't mind the EMU stuff.

There's an orchestral one that's surprisingly good.

Shame they only win on Windows. I was looking at the one that Dv have an a good offer at the moment, but since I don't work on Windows anymore..decided against it !

The items arrived sharpish I must say. Fast pigeons in Burnley.

It's all rather good. Lots of new tones.

Only thing is it won't let me load the Proteus X player. Fortunately, I have the VX version and you can play all the sounds through that.

After its installation, it gives an error message asking to load the CD to finally authorise it, but the disc is already loaded, it just won't read it. Reading around this is common for Vista but not sure why it's refusing for me. I'll do more research. It's all loaded, just needs this authorisation screen to go through. The other discs needed to go through the same authorisation process too and they were ok.

Cheers again, Tifstorey

Glad you recieved it ok. Sorry to hear it's not working properly..

Hopefully you'll be able to beat the computer and get it installed ok.

The stuff is sound.

And all the sounds are there. It's the Proteus player just not authorising - yet.

It could be linked to a driver, as you need Emu-drivers for it to work. I do have them. If it is reliant on them then I'll stick with the VX, which doesn't need any. Either way it doesn't affect the libraries just the control aspect.

Hmm, i did have another disk lying about in that pile but thought it was the drivers for just the keyboard. Looking a bit closer it seems it's for both the software aswell, so you might be needing it if you can't find it online.

Yep I'll have a look and drop them a line if need be.
Even if it was driver related, Proteus X works with the EMU stuff that I have.
Just something is niggling the authorisation and as I said, three of the other discs require the same authorisation and they went through ok.
