Default [SOLVED] WTB: Candy apple red standard Strat body

This might be a bit too specific for this forum but I thought I'd give it a shot.

I'm after a candy apple red (not 'chrome,' 'fiesta' or other shades of red!) Stratocaster body for a partscaster build. it must have a standard 11-hole guard layout (ie, not the '62 pattern) and be routed for SSS. bridge/trem optional. It should be in good shape - no worse than what Fender might call a 'closet classic.'

I really would also prefer that it was an actual Fender body, and not an Allparts or other clone.

wood type in order of preference: alder, ash, basswood. but will consider any, if the price is right.

Message me if you've got something or know where I can look for something! ebay's got pretty slim pickings for candy apple red at the moment, my eye's on it all the time anyway.

I take it you want a proper strat ? if not try warmoth, can get whatever wood, whatever finish. Nice!

Yeah, I'm holding out right now for an actual Fender. There's another workshop up north though that makes really good (copy) bodies for about 150, which I may also consider if my quest doesn't pan out, but they're not pre-drilled and my tools aren't that hot. I like to buy all the parts, do a bit of soldering and then put 'er together. The more tooling required the more likely I am to do a lousy job of it.

Seems that a lot of candy apple red bodies are routed HSS too, which would still work for me of course, but I'd rather have a classic SSS so I've got as much wood as possible left in the body.
