I'm sorry, and this may well make me very unpopular in certain circles, but I realy fail to see what this achieves. I'm all for ingenious use of old material, new cover versions, reworkings that push the boundaries... but for me, this barely raises above being plagiarism.

It reminds me of the legendary 'Grey' album, which was an entire album of mashups between Jay Z and The beatles. Clever name, pretty tastefully done and now rather difficult to come by. Capitol came down on them for it.
He went off to become 1/2 of Gnarls Barkley. Which I like. ![]() |
