I've finally found a UK dealer for these pedals after seeing some videos of them in action...
I was just wondering if anyone has had any hands on experience of these? What are they like to work with? do they really deliver the goods or if they are just another slightly unreliable boutique sound? ______________________________

Well, I use the Super Hard-On as part of my effects chain. It's more of a 'utility' pedal than an effect, although cranked it does deliver a different-sounding distortion than the norm.
I find that note clarity is increased with the pedal just being 'on' (and the dial at '0'). Very good for my tone. Mine's a custom-painted version though, so no hilarious pedal name visible to others, thus no instant joke when people see it. ![]() |

I have the Box of Metal and the Super Hard-On, which I really enjoy playing around with. I think the Zvex effects are really worth their money. Especially the hand painted ones since they come with a lifetime warranty!
To me they were like getting a new guitar or new amp. A huge change of tone and possibilities. ______________________________

Hi Mate
I've got the Fuzz Factory Vexter series - the same as the hand-painted minus the hand-painting. So not the same aesthetically, if that makes much sense. Same innards. Anyway, enough of that - it's a great, great pedal and really quite evil if you want it to be. Capable of some great standard 70s style fuzz, right up to mangling the tone beyond comparison. If you're familiar with the Flaming Lips, the riff from Free Radicals is pure FF. There are a few good prices via suppliers in the UK that I've found (£125 best price). Unless, of course, you know anyone in the US who can ship one over at a big, big saving. |

You probably shouldn't link to a potential competitor website. Might be worth removing it to save the mod a job.
