yeah, i watched the video its Probably more 'After Effected' than Photoshoped.

Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't it have to have an end point? So the bolt of electricity would have to earth somewhere. It wouldn't just wobble about in mid air like a fountain would it?

It's not electricity you're seeing - it's plasma. Although that's caused by electrical discharge, the part where the electricity actually hits anything it considers 'earth' is often invisible - ie, the plasma reaction has stopped by that point.

Search youtube for videos of working Tesla coils - you'll see they look just like the one in the guitar "amp" video - occasionally you can see where big bursts are earthing themselves, but smaller ones do appear to just "wobble."

I'm not an expert on this by any means, mind you!

lol me and matt where talking about the tesla coil yesterday, but it seems feasible but i don't know the correct detail but its the Amperage that will kill you not voltage right?
