How to ruin a classic Daft Punk track

Shame on Mr Richard Grey. He's a capable guy normally...this is shoddy tho !

Yeah, I tried this out on Saturday.. To much scratching of heads and a quickly clearing dancefloor

Needless to say, it's not getting dropped next week

jesus that tunes dire..hes not even tried to get that vocal in time..and to prove it hes only dropping it in on breakdowns which theres way too many and it sounds like hes done it in abelton live..its just a few loops which sound like hes punching them in 1 by 1 live ..i thought they guy was really talented and i liked his other stuff but its sacralidge what hes done to that classic tune and i cant believe daft punks authorised that to come out surely they must not have heard this because if id have been them i wouldnt have allowed it too come out..it dont sound half as bad when its just the music but once the vocal comes in its all chips and gravy

modz where were you playing. Why on earth did you even try it out. It sucks. Richard Grey had his own label which used to do wicked stuff. But after his mashup cover of soft cell and the drums from double 99 rip groove... He has lost his way

I did 'try it out' Ed.. On the crowd.. Have you not as a DJ taken a chance on playing something out, just in case 'your' opinion' on the track in question may not be shared by the good ol' general public..? I took a chance, tried it and immediately cleaned up the mess after only a few minutes..

The lead sounds like alice deejay possible broke in to Richards studio and edited the mix!!

maybe he should buy some new ears with the money he makes from this one?

Dire...but I think it's comforting to hear something and say to yourself "I could do better than that" and if it's someone famous...well the pleasure is greater!

My point was that how did you even like it enough to try it out. I'm all too aware of taking risks with tracks with audiences. But imo, I know this would go down like a sack of spuds before even trying it.

Yes, but it was the Sureno' Mac Daddy of Soft Synths' Remix.

I was a bit worried with just how many times you looped the 'touch my bum' vocal though !
