Question Radio 2 Top 10 Dance Records Result - Did they get it wrong?

Radio 2 listeners recently voted for the top 10 'Dance' singles of all time. Read more Here
Their top ten in full, is:

1. Billie Jean – Michael Jackson (1983)
2. I Feel Love – Donna Summer (1977)
3. Get Up (I Feel Like Being A) Sex Machine – James Brown (1970)
4. Strings Of Life - Rhythim Is Rhythim (1987)
5. Where Love Lives – Alison Limerick (1994)
6. Keep On Movin' – Soul II Soul (1989)
7. Can You Feel It – Fingers Inc. (1988)
8. Big Fun – Inner City (1988)
9. Theme From S-Express – S-Express (1988)
10. Key To My Happiness – The Charades (1966)

Surely to goodness this can't be right.. THE top ten most influential dance records of all time? Personally, I'd have only two of them in there (I Feel Love & Strings of Life).. what's your top ten guys?

In terms of those who've had the biggest influence on dancehall-based music today, e.g. dance, techno, hip hop, R&B, I think the following are good choices. I can't actually give them an order though:

Sugarhill Gang - Rapper's Delight
Kraftwerk - Trans-Europe Express
Primal Scream - Slip Inside This House
Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy
Daft Punk - Around The World
New Order - Blue Monday
The Human League - Don't You Want Me
Michael Jackson - Billie Jean
Afrika Bambaataa - Planet Rock
The Future Sound of London - Papua New Guinea

1) 'I Feel Love' Donna Summer (It is the Mutha after all)

Then in No Particular order...

New Order 'Blue Monday'
Deeelite 'Groove Is In The Heart'
The Source Feat... Candi Staton 'You Got The Love'
Alison Limerick 'Where Love Lives'
Staxx 'Joy'
'Everything Starts With An E!' (I can't remember the artist)

Surely the fact that it was Radio 2 gives it away a bit, I mean even if this top 10 came out as you'd want it to, they aint gonna publish it that way ...

'Scared' by Slacker is my favourite. The mix is beautiful and the arrangement of the edit on YouTube is nigh-on perfection.
I'd love to see Terry Wogan waving his glowstick on E.
Nah..I wouldn't

LMAO, yes and I think it became the ethos of a fair percentage of producers too. Get it right and then copy your own work ad infinitum.

I've thought of another;
Fortran 5 "time to dream" (The David Holmes mixes and defo NOT the original lol)

I think for R2's listeners that's right, because of their likely perception of dance music. Dance means anything with a strong beat and vocals. I still think that 'Keep On Moving' and tracks like that are a wierd inclusion, as they are pretty slow..

My top 10)

1) Sasha - Expander Ep
2) Prodigy - You're No Good For Me
3) South St Players - Who Keeps Changing Your Mind
4) Mr Fingers - Can You Feel It (I adore this record)
5) Indeep - Last Night A Dj Saved my life (how many covers of this?)
6) Montana Vs Trumpet Man - It's Trumpet Thing
8) Chicane - Saltwater (they've recently ruined it tho)
9) Nuyorican Soul - Runaway (Armand Van Helden Mix)
10) Todd Terry - Jumpin'
