I looked up to Michael before I became the best. He'll be scoring adverts and Tracy Beaker from now on.

Yeah you’re right, he’s rubbish. Anyone can ask their musician’s to just play too loud…

(Seriously though – Michael Nyman was the reason I started learning about film/TV composing. When I listened to the music in “The Cook, the Thief, his Wife and her Lover” it completely blew me away. So did the film – but the music was incredible.)
