Fair point. It seems on those occasions they failed to find their way out of the desert of no lyrical inspiration in to an errr, Oasis of nonsense lyrics.

I'm not that interested in Fab Four to be honest - I find it (as all other PLAY libraries) simply overpriced. I am also scared of the infamous iLok dongle

However, as a user of some older East West stuff (no dongles then!) I am sure the audio quality is superb.

Now, the M-Tron is another story...I love mellotron sounds but never had any proper virtual instruments to play with apart from a few sample sets for Reason. I was going to get Sample-Tron (from IK Multimedia) but when I saw a video demo of M-Tron Pro I quickly changed my mind

The most appealing feature for me (apart from a huge sound library) is the ability to layer two different sounds (and play one them reversed for a cool effect!!). Hope to win this one hehe

Default 1nce again - FAB FOUR FUNK FOR FREE! ;)

tenshin111 wrote: I'm not that interested in Fab Four to be honest - I find it (as all other PLAY libraries) simply overpriced. I am also scared of the infamous iLok dongle

I'm the exact opposite, I only want Fab Four and hope someone else wins M Tron Pro! =) Like I mentioned in my first post I have plans on releasing two or three albums for free next year and I'd love to make an whole instrumental jazz-funk album with just the Fab Four sounds! I'll make sure it's possible to dance to the stuff!

I can see the Baldwin Electric Harpsichord replacing the Clavinet.....
I'm telling you the project would be a dream of mine!

I've never won anything in my life and I hope people here who only want the M Tron Pro will back me up so I finally win something for the first time and create a cool album.

Come on guys! When asked where the funk is you better mention me!

Never been much of a fan of guitar samples - usually takes more time tweaking to get them to sound like the real thing than it does to pick up a guitar (or borrow a guitarist!). But M-Tron - there's another story - classic sounds of the grandaddy of samplers

Sureno posting and he never tires,
Iambic practising his prose
Christmas presents being wrapped by Modz1
The Bonanza thread just grows and grows

Everybody knows the M-Tron and the Fab Four too
Help your tracks to sound just right.
Dozens have posted but no-one knows who
Is going to win them on the night.

They know that NDK is on his way;
Modz1 has lots of toys and stuff to give away
And every DV member is going to spy
To see on Monday if they're going to laugh or cry.

And so I'm offering just a little call
If you're not in you just can't win
Although it's been said in an email to all
Post a comment here, that's it, your in!

Wow! ‘Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da’ Two fantastic pieces of software that can help me recreate the realistic sounds of the one and the only Beatles! Having just listened to the samples from The M-Audio/GForce M-Tron Pro and the East West Quantum Leap ‘Fab Four’, I have to say I thought they both sounded great!
I have been hooked on the Quantum Leap East West products ever since way back in March 2007 when my wife, ‘Michelle’, gave me the go ahead to purchase the East-West Gold Pro Expansion Symphonic Orchestra package from you guys at Digital Village. I have since followed this up this year with purchases, from Digital Village of East-West Goliath and East West Storm drum 2. These are awesome products and the new Play engines are fantastic!

Now ‘I Want To Tell You’ ‘Something’s’ telling me ‘I’ve Got A Feeling’:‘All I’ve Got To Do’ to ‘Please, Please Me’ is to 'Come Together' on this forum, be a ‘Paperback Writer’ and pen this ‘Long, Long, Long’ post to have a chance to get an early Christmas or ‘Birthday’ present! You see, I need 'The Fab Four' desperately: because I've ‘Got To Get You Into My Life’ to replace my guitar ‘Because’ ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ it has no strings, and with all my broken strings, my studio is now like an ‘Octupus’s Garden’

I want to turn around ‘When ‘I’m Sixty Four’ and say that ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ at Digital Village, at Christmas, way back in 2008, I had this psychedelic dream when I looked up and saw ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds’ from ‘Across The Universe’ looking down at me, ‘The Fool On The Hill’, ‘You Know My Name (Look Up The Number)’. I watched the ‘Blackbird’ ‘Flying’ along ‘The Long And Winding Road’. I remember thinking ‘Why Don’t We Do It In The Road’, so I put on my ‘Old Brown Shoe’ and shouted ‘Hey Bulldog’! if this prize is heavy I am going to need you to ‘Carry That Weight’. He shouted ‘Get Back’ I am not the Bulldog; ‘I Am The Warlus’ and ‘I’m So Tired’, and I thought ‘Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey’!

Before I knew it I was in the ‘Strawberry Fields Forever’ on a ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ with ‘Lovely Rita’ thinking ‘I Feel Fine’ and Rita ‘She Said, She Said’ “If you win this prize” then ‘Baby You’re A Rich Man’. I started to think ‘It’s All Too Much’ I should not be here with Rita or ‘Julia’ or even ‘Sexy Sadie’ I should still be a member of ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’.

Then as my dream jumped forward, I found myself with a ‘Ticket To Ride’ in a ‘Yellow Submarine’ thinking ‘What Goes On’. It’s a ‘Good Day Sunshine’ but I can still see the ‘Rain’.

I remember turning to ‘Lady Madonna’ and saying ‘Tell Me What You See’ and she replied ‘Yes It Is’, so we need to be ‘Fixing A Hole’ with that ‘Glass Onion’ so I said ‘Thank You Girl’ and asked her to pass me ‘Maxwell’s Silver Hammer’. As I fixed the hole she said “I ‘Dig It’” and ‘Oh! Darling’ ‘Here Comes The Sun’ please ‘Hold Me Tight’ and I said ‘I Don’t Want To Spoil The Party’ but ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ but ‘I Should Have Known Better’ because ‘I’m A Loser’. Before I knew it my dream had fast forwarded once more and I had to ‘Drive My Car’ down the ‘Helter Skelter’ towards ‘Penny Lane’ but I ended up in ‘Norwegian Wood’ thinking ‘It Won’t Be Long’. ‘When I Get Home’ ‘I’ll Follow The Sun’ and eat ‘Wild Honey Pie’ but ‘Like Dreamers Do’ I realized ‘I’m Only Sleeping’.

So after a ‘A Hard Day’s Night’: ‘Please Mr Postman’ ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ and ‘Don’t Pass Me By’ please deliver my prize or ‘Don’t Bother Me’ again because ‘Do You Want To Know A Secret’: if you do not deliver the goods you’re ‘Bad To Me’ and ‘I Don’t Want To See You Again’!
So, ‘From A Window’ even if it takes ‘Eight Days A Week’, I will watch as ‘Eleanor Rigby’ and ‘Doctor Robert’ go by along with the ‘Taxman’ and ‘Nowhere Man’, who are 'Here There And Everywhere', hoping my Christmas has a happy ending!-And ‘That Means A Lot’

Good luck to everyone that has entered this great competition and thanks to Digital Village for the chance to win this incredible Christmas prize package.

I would like to wish a great festive season to all!

Cheers, Jim.
