Super 'on the ball' - banned him at the same time as deleting his moderated post..
I'm off to a nearby telephone box now to put my underwear on outside my trousers!

I see spammers are now using Amazon reviews to list their websites. I have contacted Amazon about it and wonder if they'll take action. Here is a typical spammy review that I have seen dozens of times. The italics are my edits.

Christmas is coming so save your cash! Why purchase something you can get for free or under 5 pounds.

Go to MySpammyWebsite.co.cc and sign up. Complete ONE offer - I would recommend blah blah that site I am affiliated with Bingo (you know, the one Sharon Osborne advertises for on tv),as this is cheap and fun (and you might win some money in the process!)

If you really don't want to spend, there is a free Lovefilm trial that I am also affiliated with and they pay me for each free signup

All companies are well known so there is no risk involved- give it a go! I got my insert electronic item name here depending on which review I am spamming and many other things this way, so don't miss out.

I was a sceptic once but now I am SO glad I gave it a chance. B8C approved this system on their Newsnight programme a while back notice it is b8c, not bbc!

Many items to choose from and they send your gift Free of charge.

I am amazed they are so determined. It's almost a full time job keeping with these scams. Thanks for the info saxman. I buy items from time to time from Amazon so that is a very welcome warning.

Amazon response was quick and positive;

Thank you very much for bringing these reviews to our attention.

Please rest assured that these comments will be removed from our
database and will shortly disappear from the website.

We do exert some editorial control over our customer reviews and
strive to block these kinds of reviews. Amazon.co.uk does not
tolerate profane or spurious customer reviews. Our intention is to
make the customer review forum a place for constructive commentary and
feedback, so reviews that fall outside these guidelines are removed
from the website.

We apologise for this situation and thank you for taking the time to
let us know.
