Hi all,

I know a square room isn't ideal, I know a small room isn't ideal. So, what if you only had a 7' 8" x 7' 1" room to use as a project studio at home? Would it be possible to use this room and if so what would be the best way to treat it?

Thanks

Well...

THe last few years have been interesting. 3 years ago I bought a house and converted a room into a studio. That process is journaled (photo) on my website www.junglenoisestudio.com. Well, financial woes assailed us and we needed to move. Unfortunately in this economy we were unable to sell our lovely, large (3,300 sq ft) house. Rather, we've been renting it out for the past year in order to rent ourselves a less expensive place. My custom treated studio room was dismantled and I've been operating in very difficult conditions for the past year, but the finances were greatly improved!

Well, the renters have failed us and we've had no choice but to move back into our lovely large house. Finances are worse than before, but we're stuck this time. So, I'm going to convert the downstairs living room/kitchen into a studio. I've decided to document the process here. I'll take some photos and post them as the 'before' and then periodically update with new photos.

Ultimately, if a miracle occurs and we're able to afford to stay here long term, I'll convert the barn on the property to a studio. That would be cool!

Stay tuned,
