In the DM5 module manual it says you can daisy chain DM5 modules over MIDI. My (perhaps stupid) question is this: if you do that, does it effectively mean you double the number of inputs/triggers you can use? Or does it serve some other purpose?

THanks.

Hi

Just bought myself a DM5 Pro after a break of about 10 years from an acoustic kit. Never used an electronic kit before and options to try are limited (in Channel Islands)... anyway, despite some of the less than favourable reviews here of the kit, I'm pretty happy so far, although the rack is definitely flimsy... was a nightmare setting it up.. .it was determined to fall over!

Anyway, a few things which I'd love some help with..

1) In my naivety I thought the black heads were mesh heads... but they're actually black plastic. I've seen you can replace them with genuine mesh.. .could someone recommend which ones to get? I saw the kit on this thread (http://forums.dv247.com/drums-percussion/411-recommend-electronic-kit.html) and that looks rude.. .would do something like that for sure.
2) The snare drum is too small... does anyone know if it's possible to get the 10" snare from the DM-10 individually? Alternatively, will the Roland PD105-BK be compatible with the DM5 module? I emailed DV but they wouldn't commit, and I'm not about to spend £200+ on the offchance it won't work.
3) Where can I get additional rack clamps for cymbal arms and toms? There's nothing on the DV website, and when I emailed them, they said they didn't do "spare parts" and I should contact someone else, which I did... who never got back to me :S... I found a seller on *cough* auction site who have a real website, but they didn't get back to me either!
3b) Same with surge cymbals... I wanted another crash, but DV don't do them singlely. Will be in the US in 2 weeks so quite tempted to get one while I'm over there.. .the $ price is about the same as the £ price!

Sorry for all the q's... any help is much appreciated!
Thanks :)
