Hi All,

Been a Pro Tools user for 7 years now, I think my first version of Pro Tools was 5.1! Pretty sure elastic audio would have crashed the old PC I was working on in an instant. Anyways, I've started a blog over at http://www.protoolsguide.com aimed at pooling the best online resources for learning about Pro Tools that I've found over the years. I thought it may be handy in helping other people to discover that elusive shortcut that they've been trawling the internet in the wee small hours of the morning to find out. Something like that anyway..!

There is something I fundamentally do not yet understand as someone more use to analogue recording.

I am used (when I used analogue) to recording my guitar with different effects at different points on one track.

Now I'm using Pro Tools.

If I use one effect (let's say Guitar Rig Tone 1) on a track, how can I then return to the same track later in the song and use another effect (let's say Guitar Rig Tone 23)

So far this makes Tone 1 earlier in the track revert to Tone 23. Any way I can use different effects at different times on one track?

I suppose this would apply to my keyboard tracks aswell as guitar work.

I guess this ties in with my Bussing Thread:
http://forums.dv247.com/recording-mi...ease-help.html

Any info would be appreciated.
