Apple Magic Mouse, bit of trivia for you guys... when this came out the once named "Mighty Mouse" was dethroned to merely the "Apple Mouse" so im guessing this is the formally known Mighty Mouses successor

3. Why you bought it:

My 2nd "Mighty Mouse" died so i was after a new mouse, im a fan of apple so i ended buying this new Magic Mouse as i weighed up the odds of a 3rd MM clogging up on me and tbh as much as i love all the functions of the Mighty mouse i decided to go with the new "balless" 360 track mouse aptly named "Magic Mouse" even though the feature set had been downgraded.

4. How much did it cost:

£55 (thats £21 more than the Mighty Mouse)

5. Installation / Setup:

As soon as i switched my Mac Pro on, with out a mouse attached it recognised the new Magic Mouse after i had switched it on, a couple of final tweaks in system prefs to assign the right button and i was away

6. What do you like about it?:

The sleek design of the mouse, the fact the 360 ball has gone meaning no more clogged up tracking and its wireless operating via bluetooth

7. What don’t you like about it?:

I was seriously put off by the fact apple has removed the ability to associate expose to centre button and that the side buttons have been removed. I was close to just buying the usual Mighty Mouse but with the suggestion T3 made i assigned my keyboard keys F5 & F6 to Expose-All and Expose-Desktop respectively so at least i have those features readily available to me with out too much extra fuss

8. Any improvements:

facilitate association of centre button to Expose

10. Would you buy it again:

Yes, but if apple release a new mouse i would consider that too

11. Platform:

Mac but i cant see why it wouldnt work on a PC

12. Pros and cons summary:

seamless integration, great touch sensitive buttons, great looks and the 360 scroll ball has been eliminated freeing your mouse from its curse of the clogged ball. Now update the software to include Expose association!!!
