i think the only fair way to tell is try it, i dislike cubase just from my personal experience with it, this does not mean it's bad just wasn't for me. having said that if you just see bad user reviews then you have to ask yourself why, also a good trick i find is to check out their forums, if it's post after post of "Help, crashes...." etc then it offers you a guide. you will get the people saying people only post on forums to report problems that's why its full of problems... this imo is a fallacy. if the software is good you should get a fair amount of people asking questions about "how to" carry out certain procedures etc more questions about tips and tricks as well, you will generally get the feeling the the users are happy

sureno your a wealth of info !, i used 3x and liked it, i used pro 12 and 24 yrs ago and was amazed at it, like looking at the moon for the first time. however ive gotten used to protools now and im getting a good work flow, my only gripe is its very processor hungry , im using a 4yr old dell with a 3gz processor and 4gigs of ram and its still shuggs a bit so i may put it on a dedicated mac to make it run a bit faster for me, ive 90% cpu alocated to it.

well im on PT8, it has been advised to go 99% cpu and a single core however i find best performance on allocating all my cores, however on 7.4 it was best on a single core. if you go mac (which is always advised by me) get logic as well imo. it might not have all the bells and whistles cubase has but all those bells and whistles will soon turn into a drone that gives you nothing but a head ache ime

coming from a PC that ran Cubase 4 i turned to a Mac pro and logic with PT along side. i swear this is the most progressive step i have ever taken with music

Does that mean we can expect a whole load more info and updates but no finished tour?

Can we update the thread name. Since the tour is not in Feb or March, it's now April.
