Yeah I recall that - These things take on a life of their own

Just listening to Bob Holness playing Baker Street - you'd never credit it.

Funny you should mention that. I am watching Raphael Ravenscroft presenting Blockbusters. I'll have a B please Ralph. Hmmm, somehow doesn't sound right.....

My mate was on the original

Told Bob he'd sing if he did five gold runs or whatever the most you could do was?

He was a real laid back fella but sharp as a tack - he completed the gold runs and sang on it like he said he would.

That's cool. He must have been pretty sharp. You had to have you wits about you to stay around long enough to even attempt five gold runs, and yes I think 5 was the maximum. He must have picked up some pretty cool prizes too. So I guess he was one of the '1 against 2' blockbusters contestants and he had to do it all on his own.

Yep if they do repeats it must have been around 1983-4. I think he was the first to do a cameo - ie sing. I know others did things in later shows.

I know that one prize was an exotic holiday.

And my favourite - some fab scripts in this

I applied for the role, as did Daniel Craig. I had the requirements - I'm the greatest, fantastic, fearless, amazing, astounding and modest. Obviously too modest for the producers.
