UAD2 Autumn Tour

The Universal Audio UAD2 UK tour will offer existing UAD users (and anyone else interested) an opportunity to chat DSP direct with UA at Digital Village stores.

These events are FREE but if you wish to attend, please register your interest by e-mailing or calling the store direct. If you e-mail the local store address, the store manager will confirm your place by return. These informal events run from 1pm to 4pm at each venue. As always, Digital Village will provide free beverages and we'll be offering exclusive Universal Audio deals on-the-day.

DV West London: Thursday 16th October
DV Clapham: Tuesday 21st October
DV Bristol: Thursday 23rd October
DV Birmingham: Tuesday 28th October
DV North London: Thursday 30th October

I would like to get to one of these UAD events.

I originally bought the UAD 1 from Digital Village in clifton at the cost of £850 or thereabouts. (This was about 7-8 yrs ago), before they came up with the project pak etc. It's a great card but has been sat in its box now for about 3 yrs. At the time though, it doubled the power of my computer.

I would love to have a chat with the sales team to see if there's any way I can get the better plugs for it. The Realverb was alright but from what I read of the reviews the Dreamverb was so much better.

Also, it would be good to run the Fairchild Compressor and the Pulteq and Cambridge EQ's on it.

Another thing that amazed me was the fact that there were never any Instruments written for it.

There are hints and rumours that UA are working on writing instruments to run on it. That's been fuelled by the addition of Moog filter to their portfolio of emulations. There are a lot of people kissing the bible and preying each night, that that are working on a full blown voyager plug..

As for interfacing a UAD 2 to anything other then a pcie slot... it gave me a headache just reading about adapting hardware layers. Plus, the code would have to be re-written. I shall carry on saving for a new pc/mac pro to keep it in !

There are some usb-to-pci-express adapters and that really sounds like trouble.

Ah. I'm in Derby until 12 on Thursday. Earliest I'm gonna get there is around 1.30-2pm.

Can I still come and be late ??

No the timing is still good. Contact the chaps at the store the store and double check though!

i was wondering when this would get spotted but be careful i thought this was the standard quad but it appears to only be have the power of the normal quad???
