Default Replace mesh heads Alesis DM5 Pro kit

Is it true that you can replace the standard heads on the kit with any mesh heads from any brand or manufacturer?

Yes, you can, but be aware that you won't get the full benefit of mesh heads due to the construction of these pads... this is due to the foam layer directly beneath the heads. However, it will greatly improve the "thwack" type stick noise the standard heads produce.
