Default How do I update my DM5 Drum Module?

Hello! I'm kind of new to the whole updating drum module thing, and I have had a DM5 module for a while but I have no idea how to install the update.

I had a midi usb cable (one I got from Red Octane to update things on my Guitar Hero World Tour drums) and I've plugged the usb in, and the midi end into the Out/Thru on my module.

I had DM5 edit and Midiox but I have no idea how to update.

Can someone please give me a step by step guide?

If your asking about updating the firmware on your dm5 (or any other midi device)
What you normally do is load the update file to a sequencer program on a midi track (say track 10)
(My novation supernova uses midi files for this.)
Make sure this tracks midi output is 10 and the dm5 is set to receive on channel 10.
Then look in the manual (in case there is a key sequence you have to go through to set up the dm5 to receive the update)
Make sure on the sequencer that Sysex is not filtered out likewise the equipment (the DM5)
Play back the sequencer.
If done right this will have updated the midi module (DM5) with the update.
On the alesis site it does not list an update for the DM5 under docs and downloads.
http://www.alesis.com/dm5
However under the DM5prokit it lists such an update (dont know if this will work?)
Are the modules just the same?????
http://www.alesis.com/dm5prokit
It also says Contains new programs as well as optimized settings for the DM5 Pro Kit triggers.
-------------Load via MIDI using MIDIOX (PC) or SysEx Librarian (Mac.)------
You can get MIDIOX for PC here
http://www.midiox.com/
Hope this helps
