are these only done in reason? do you use any other host software (DAW=Digital Audio Workstation) such as logic, cubase, sonar DP etc?
from listening to your drums they are very low in level Track1 some of the drums sound distorted, is this desired? try sending the drums through a compressor, eq and may be even a saturator. im not too familiar with reason as i never mix in it. may i ask are you happy with the pattern the drums are arranged as they sound more like slowed down D&B than garage? ______________________________

you know a trick i have picked up is to bring in a loop from a track that you like, if brought into recycle analyse each beat and where it is placed along the grid, then listen for drum hits that are layered. does this make sense?

I think with making decent drum beats its all about compression....If you don`t get this spot on the beat does not sound punchy ETC......The less compression the better....Always add EQ as well on that channel.....Thats all you really need.....
With garage its all about the mid range..... www.myspacemusic.com/club4lifemusic |
