Default Deadmau5

Interested to hear peoples thoughts on this character

Anytime ive seen him discussed it always brings out quite varied views, some people think he's a pioneer of new sounds while others think he's nothing more than a 'buzz word' in the scene, a dj for the in crowd lol

I personally am quite fond of his tracks and livesets, even though this wouldnt normlly be my musical preference

That Berlin track was ok but not really into the rest of his stuff. Think he's just the in thing at the mo and he's marketable for magazines/web etc....

He's no Danger (MySpace.com - Danger - FR - Electro / Pop / Soundtracks / Film music - www.myspace.com/2emedanger) but I think he's pretty cool

I saw him at Shindig in Newcastle, he was proper banging..really good!

His essential mix 3 weeks ago was quality. Has his own sound, somewhere between techno/electro & even a bit of the T word

Use Ableton to DJ & produce, recons he has never spun a record.

I want a jazzMutant controller so badly. I was gonna do my project on programming one as a filter controller, but couldn't talk the university into buying one of them for me to play with !

As for Deadmau5, some of his tracks and mixes are ok. I do listen out for his stuff incase of the odd gem. But he is pretty hit and miss...

No - he actually uses it (for production at least) - before he got above such things he used to be a regularish poster in the ableton forums.
