Looking good actually, shame its such a small peek. And shame I've already got XP10's or I'd have hung on to have a look at these.

I rather like the look of this for when using tracktor with an external mixer in a proper DJ rig
However, it looks like they have missed one really really essential feature - some kind of nudge control over the pitch of a deck. Often Ive found with tracktor that while its beat detection is generally very good - it can be consistently a few ms out on some tracks (just because of the shape of the beat waveform) - therefore you need manually nudge the sync point to get it sounding exactly in sync - one reason I really like my VCI-100 controller as its like using a pair fo CDJs in this respect. Can anyone see a means of doing this with this controller in the NI blurb on their site? OK - Im lazy and rarely bother to setup the beat grid as I nearly allways rely on my controller to manually nudge it into perfect sync. |

Im not seeing any controlls on it that could serve as channel faders or a cross fader on this to control tracktors internal mixer - so Im guessing yes - either a mixer or another controller - and an audio interface of course

khazul - you saw the button I was about to mention..
there's no audio on the X1 so you'd still need your audio interface and you can either use the internal mixer or an external mixer as normal with Traktor Pro.. We will get to see one in the flesh tomorrow at some dealer training so there maybe more info to report back then.. Steve Parker 2twenty2 |
