Default Cubase 7. And for the love of God, help.

So Cubase 7 has been announced. Yippee, I guess.
Was getting the 6.5 update for Christmas, obviously I'd be a fool not to jump on the grace period but how the flying **** does it work?

According the DV I have to see the SB site for info but can't find anything, and it says the update is only available as download but SB don't offer dl updates.
I'm scared and confused. Can someone spell it out for me?

In other news it looks pretty awesome. A well overdue redesign. Will have to look more closely at the rest of the new stuff.
The new mix console looks to have taken away a lot of functuanitly that I use in my workflow.
It's a tricky one.

Check out the DV Facebook page, i'm sure its explained on there.

I personally think they have made some excellent changes and additions from what I have seen and read. I particularly like the new mixer layout.

As soon as it's available, i'm buying it!

I read over at KVR that the grace period gives you Cubase Artist 7 rather than Cubase 7. It's a little confusing tbh.

If you were getting 6.5 for Christmas, why not just get 7 instead?

Well that's my point, what update do I get? DV have handily put together a page that explains how to update from everything from Sequel to 6.5 except 4 & 5, when it says to see the massively useless SB site.
Thanks Piano, checked all that, still can't work it out. Probably me being thick than anything else though.
It does look wonderful, but I make nothing but EDM, fancypants console revamps don't actually appeal, I wanna be able to to everything from 1 screen.

Does that mean you want to update from Cubase 4 or 5 to 7? Then this would be what you want: http://www.dv247.com/computer-music-...date-3--103598

What version are you upgrading from?
