Default How do you listen to your mixes in mono?

Is there a mono switch anywhere in Cubase so i can switch from listening in stereo to mono? I read somewhere that it's good to do that to check for phase issues. I can't figure out how though.

I dont think cubase has a mono switch.
Well i have not found it.....
But here you can find a free vst plugin that you put on your master channel and switch it over back and forth.
Other features too...

I use stereo enhancer in the 'surround' Cubase plug ins. That has mono button. I'm not sure if this is the right way of doing it though.

Is that located above or below the 'Feel Smug about having a nice studio' button. Or did you go all out for a desk with a dial that lets you select how smug you feel.

Why don't they just have a fking mono button on the master buss?

Ah, well, Thanks for getting back to me. At least i know now even though it does seem a strange way of having to do it.

And Trev, if you're feeling sorry for me given that i don't have a fancy "mono" button, you could always throw your console my way when you're done with it. I'll swap you my N12 for it

Heheh. I was thinking I might change the studio name to "smug studios". Seriously though, I've always had a hardware controller of some kind for this function ever since I got a home rig for myself. There's something about left brain stuff and right brain stuff and I find that trying to deal with techy things like menus and mouse clicks when I'm in the artistic space in my head just doest work for me. If it does for you, great! It just doesn't for me.

Na, i agree with you. I can't be arsed with menu's either. I'd much prefer having a physical switch or button. My N12 doesn't appear to have a mono button either and it's through that that i monitor. Some mixers have, some haven't.

I don't know if there is anything i can maybe buy that would do the same job.

Haven't bought anything for a while because of moving home and buying baby goods. Baby's cost me over a grand already and it's only 14 weeks old!
