Default Cubase ai

Hi peeps,

Have a question. I brought an ex-demo version of the motif es. Should cubase AI have come with it? And if possible, is there way of getting it for the ES?

Thanks.

With ex demo stuff it usually says what is and isn't included with it. What's included in the box is not necessarily thrown in with B Stock. I know this from experience, having not read the small print quite closely enough (and once after reading it perfectly on the side of the box the brand new product came in and was still somehow wrong, but that's another, entirely different, entirely unrelated M Audio story).
Other than that I have nothing else to contribute, if you consider the above as a contribution.

Sounds good mate! I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
When you emailed Alesis, did they ask for like serial number of your product or anything like?

nope

just give them a breif descripton of what youve bought and say you had no software in the box and say your dying to try out the motif with cubase ai ..they bundle cubase ai5 now with all yamaha products so if your lucky they will probably send you that which is basically cubase 5 essentials

Cool, sounds like what I need without the price tag!
So do you know how to use cubase ai well?

Reason I ask is because when i connected the motif to the PC to try use Sony Acid, i kept having a problem. Everytime i recorded on a track on acid, and then I'd open a new track arm on acid, and change the voice on the motif, it would change the original voice recorded on arm 1. Was i doing something wrong. I am new to this stuff so I have no idea of things.

I may require your assistance when using AI, if and when I get it.
