Hi All
I've recently started to use Cubase 5 64 Bit with Windows 7 RC. It's been working great up until last night. Basically, I have 64 Bit versions of Kontakt/Battery 3/FM8/Massive, and when looking at them in the Intstruments List, they all have the little bridge symbol next to them, with the exception of Battery 3, despite my having updated them to 64 Bit versions. The problem I have is that when using any of the above, apart from Battery, once I've played a sequence, when I go back to the GUI for the plug, I cannot click on most of the knobs/sound browsers/sliders etc. and the computer just seems to hang. I can click outside of these windows, just not in them. I'm finding this really frustrating - has anyone else experienced this at all? |

ive read that there is a issue with ni and cubase 5 64 ..on some forums its saying update cubase 5 and update all your ni plug ins..make sure they are all upto date.
i dont use 64 bit programs because theres too many conflicts with some plug ins if youve no joy try out the cubase.net forums and ask there mate. |

I run the same system no problems. What you might not know is that in Plugin information (devices menu) you have a list of paths that Cubase searches for your plugins. If Cubase finds an instance of a plugin in the first path it quits searching for others (or simply does not show them). SO if you stil have spare instances of your 32 bit plugins and they are found first then maybe - just maybe Cubase finds them then stops looking.
Also in the Plugin information list it shows what plugins Cubase has found and you can untick and therefore not display what you like (requires restart of Cubase) Check where your DLL files are and make sure Cubase seraches that path. Zero |

No problem! They don't email you the upgrade til about three weeks after it's up there. Strangely.
I actually solved this issue - the 64 Bit .dlls all installed in the actual program folders and not the VST Plug folder in the Steinberg. I never got the time to sort it out. However, done it. |
