Default transport bar --disappearing..try this.

ok today ive been playing around with cubase 5 too try and find some kind of solution to the missing transport bar problem and today i found something that i think may have fixed or helped it ..

first i changed my screen resolution from the normal ..1440x900 resolution (which is very clear and looks brilliant with cubase 4.5_} i changed it too 1280x768 resolution on my monitor (the screen is a little blurry but workable as long as i sit back a bit)

the i went to the amd drivers website and updated my ati radeon xpress chipset ..then i ran the screen edit tool and set my screen to 50hz instead of 60hz .

i also too make sure id be ok if the transport bar disappeared plugged in my steinberg houston controller reinstalled the drivers(which stopped working after the last cubase 5 update)once they were reinstalled it worked brilliantly with cubase 5 and contains all the keys on the transport bar and if anyone has one and they didnt already know if you hold down shift+play buttons it loops your song and any missing functions can be set up easily to map any functions to the houston buttons.

after all this i restarted my computer and fired up cubase 5 after using it for 4 hours the transport bar didnt disappear but it did move around on its own but luckly when it did shift of to the bottom or shift of to the right a little piece was showing so i could drag it back.i still think theres a bug in cubase 5 because the transport bar shouldnt move around like it does on its own but atleast with the changes ive done cubase 5 is at last useable for me.

i must mention it did crash once today ..i went to record a midi track and when i clicked on the record arm button all my transport buttons turned themselfs on all at the sametime and locked up my song luckly id just saved it ..i cant understand why this happened but its happened a few times in cubase 5 since i bought it but it only happens once in awhile.
