Is it true that I can't record an audio input in Studio 4? I plugged my MS2000 into my US122 and everything seemed fine. I could see the audio signal coming onto an audio channel in Cubase but when I tried to record it I got nothing.
I spoke to another Cubase user that said you can't do that in Studio 4. It seems to be quite a ludicrous cutback from the full version of Cubase?!? Maybe that upgrade to 5 will happen sooner rather than later now ![]() |

I've not tried to record audio before this, and somebody else (Rob Lee) mentioned that CS4 couldn't record external instruments. I have the L/R out conntected to the L/R line in of my Tascam US122 and I can hear the instrument being played and see the signal in the Cubase audio channel. I also have record enabled in Cubase but when I hit record and start playing theres nothing recorded. I suppose i'll have to visit Cubase.net........ which is always fun ![]() |

have you created a new audio input in studio 4/5?
you have to designate a new audio input source and then save it and once you goto your arranger page create a new audio track and use the newly created audio input as your track ,then arm your track ready to record and its ready too use.. i dont know who ever told you you cant record audio in studio 4/5 you can record audio in every version of cubase ive ever had ..its just a little complicated to start with but once sussed out its a dream ![]() if you dont know how to do what ive explained post back and ill try help further ![]() |
