Yes - not exactly the most welcoming lot are they.

And most folks who want to know something simple end up having the question post locked with a comment about the dongle number while they route around behind their computer, to get the dongle number and fill it in etc, then when they cant find there original post any more to bump it - ask the question again - usually a day or so later.

This time they get told off by a moderator for asking the same thing twice and accused of spamming the forum with questions and promptly banned

Now by this time the poor customer is thoroughly ****ed off and signs up with an new hotmail account so they can go back give them a load of abuse for being so unhelpful - so they get banned again (unsurprisingly)... and so the cycle repeats...

Eventually the N word comes up and then all hell breaks loose...

They should write marketting/support book called "How to turn a genrally happy customer with a minor problem into a life long hater and potential terrorist the steinberg way".

No - not happened to me - just seen this cycle so many times there.

That and people start having a go about Cubase bashing (from what I've read, never posted more than once to find out) when the stock answer of 'install the newest update' doesn't work. Haven't even looked at the forums since a week after I got it in May.

Only two things would survive nuclear war

the cockroaches would then commit suicide.
