I've had no issues with Cubase whatsoever, and much as I'd like Logic, that would involve purchasing a Mac to go with it, so that's out of the question.
I don't really think there's much between the popular DAWs now, so if you find a feature set that works for you, then good on you. For me, the Mediabay function is great, as it's successfully catalogued a good part of 1TB of my sound library, but when it comes down to it, it's not overly necessary, as I save my sounds where I need them and can access them easily. It's a great idea for stock sounds, or in bigger studios where someone may come in and say 'I need a bagpipe sound' and you can go straight to it, but on this level, it's functional but not overly useful. As for the program in general, it does everything I ask of it, is steady, and still has the best MIDI editing as far as I'm concerned, as it's hardly changed from the days that I was doing it in mono on a little 1040STE monitor. |
