Default MIDI controller with knobs for Cubase 7

I'd like a MIDI controller with knobs (and preferably a few pads) for controlling VSTs within Cubase Elements 7. After realising Steinberg's CMC-QC isn't fully compatible with Cubase Elements 7, I'm looking at Novation's Launch Control.

I've seen (on Novation's YouTube channel) Launch Control working with Ableton Live. Has anyone used Launch Control with Cubase 7?

I'd be happy to check out any other MIDI controllers, however I am on a budget.

Thanks
