Personally i wouldn't touch Norton with a bargepole. It has had some very poor results in "real world" independant testing, in terms of just how well it detects viruses, and over recent years has become so bloated that it causes real performance problems.

Try Kaspersky (which gets really good test results) here - Free Virus Scan - Kaspersky Lab

or Trend Micro Housecall - Trend Micro HouseCall - Free Online Virus and Spyware Scan - Trend Micro UK

These are both online scans, so you don't need to install anything, and I'm fairly sure they both scan for spyware as well as viruses.

Yep, its a sad fact of life that all these manufacturers sell us the hardware and then let us do all the bloody software development

I have the PreSonus FireStudio 26x26 and the that has been a total nightmare for a lot of people - we are still running on Beta Test drivers even now and the thing has been on the market for more than a year

I don't know about Focusrite but PS have a list of incompatible hardware on their forum which is a bit of a pisser if you have already bought it without knowing - if Focusrite have a user forum it might be worth checking on there or try Google for some more answers

AVG and Spybot end of story. Make sure you scan regularly and you'll have little problems unless something attaches itself to any core program/system file.
