Default Akai MPD18

Crazy how a fairly cheap midi controller will have such an impact on how i
produce future music, if only Beethoven was alive today.

Thanks DV

Hi Cane
Nice one fella.. If you have a spare mo, could you perhaps expand on how the MPD is fitting in your workflow and the improvements it provides?

The Midi controller i've been using for the last few years is a KorgKontrol49 however i find it too menu driven , i wanted something more simple without the bells & whistles that done the job well.
The MPD18 had the 3 basic feature's i was looking for

1) Good Pads/feel
2) Note repeat
3) Swing

I use the MPD18 with Fxpansion Geist, i like the slice function in Geist it chops a sample up into as many slices as you desire and then sends them straight to the MPD's pads.

Geist is easy to use , Akai MPD18 is easy to use , together a great combination

Default Help

I am trying to use my MPD18 with Geist and the pads won't work with the software. How did you get yours to work?

I didn't actually do anything to get mine to work, just plugged it in and it worked.
I do use Mac and not PC, if there's something in that ?
