Phonic Firewire 18Mk2 mixer won't connect

Hi, I posted a problem on the forum last week regarding connection of my Phonic Firewire mixer to a brand new win 7 pc. Initially I believed it to be a driver issue however I have tried to connect it to a different computer and still get the same problem. The driver installs ok until it reaches the final screen "connect device and power on", after connecting and powering up I click next but the mixer is not found and the "connect device and power on" screen reappears every time i try. Could my mixer be the problem?

My old pc I used with the mixer had a power surge and blew the mobo and power supply, could this have damaged my mixer?

Any suggestions most welcome please, this is doing my nut in!

I am the firewire starter, twisted firewire starter.....

It was a driver issue, finally managed to download ver4 driver and all is good.
