Question Korg Kaoss Pad 3

Any one here a user?
if so what are your uses and experiences with this item, also has any one successfully mapped the X/Y pad to control their DAW?

Yes - I have one.

Actually I havnt been using it much lately - it was bought primarily as a DJ FX box rather than a production fx box.

It also happens to make an excellent controller for software and my TC Fireworx fx box.

As a DJ FX box, I quite like it - I think it definately need quite rich (ie whole mix) sounds to send its best. Ive never really taken to the sound of its processing when I have used it on single sources - ie a single synth etc.

Ive mostly used its delays, loopers and samplers and as for the rest of the fx - just light use. Its beat tracking seems pretty good - actually it generates a better midi clock from a house/trance beat than my DJM-800.

As a DJ box, I quite like it. As a production FX box - dunno - the sound doesnt hugely grab me alot of the time (what can I say - its Korg...), though interesting to stick most of a mix through it now and then. As a MIDI controler - its can be very useful.
