Exclamation Phonic 302 Win XP64 bit Driver

Just in case anyone else is trying to use the Phonic 302 on WinXP64:

There is an error in the phonic_MDD_1394.inf file which is the cause of the XP64 driver, downloaded from Phonics web site, not loading correctly.

The line [_Install_FIREFLY303.ntamd64] should read [_Install_FIREFLY302.ntamd64], once corrected the driver works well.

Fortunately the .inf file is a text file and can be opened with 'Notepad' modified and saved with the same name.

Can I also say that the Bristol branch were very supportive before I managed to find the problem, they offered, without question, to exchange the unit for another type. First class service, I appreciate the offer.

Phonic Technical support have been notified.

Hi John
Thanks for the heads up on this and I'm sure the Bristol boys will be happy to see your comments
