Default m audio projectmix controlling plugins?

Hi guys. Have an m audio projectmix. At the moment i am only using it as a soundcard/ motorized mixer for my daw. Would like to use it to its full potential but dont know how. Am using logic and have a midi keyboard controlling a couple of plugins. Not sure if it can be done but would love if my projectmix could control some plugins. I hate using he mouse and would love my plugins to be at the touch of a button. Have checked everywhere for tutorials but to no avail. Any help would be great.. Cheers in advance...

You could set it up via Logic's Midi Learn function. This assigns controllers via cc messages to different plugin parameters. Slight downside is that this is a 1 control to 1 paramter system. There are no clever macro options. Meaning when you select plugs with your mouse, the controllers don't control the new options. They are still connected to the app you learnt them to..

There might be a Logic projectmix template on the installer disc or MAudio website. If not, I know a lot of people get away with devices using the generic Mackie Control option. Its soemthing I've never tried personally though.

You're best bet is speaking to Digi/MAudio UK.

A quick look at the Projectmix page..

First thing it tells you is that the host needs to support the generic Mackie,Hui or Logic templates. I've grabbed a shot of the page that tells you this.

There are also grabs of the screen you need to find & the easiest way to find it from the point of starting Logic up.

Finally, a guide on the M-Audio site as to how to setup The Projectmix in Logic Mode, and which controller template to use:
