ok guys its upgrade time!

I have a very dated and unreliable system here in the studio!!
Carillon AC1 3.2 Ghz, about 6 or 7 years old now!!
full silencing
120GB hard drive
1gb ram

its served me well but its just not got the power and disk space I need these days, I have built many pcs in the past so its not completely new to me but its been some time since I built the last one, before multiple cores came out!!

I dont want to fork out for a new case so lets overlook if possible, what I want to know is what is a reasonable amount to spend these days?
I want todays standards not yesterdays

its all about the power, so decent cpu and lots of ram are a must, 1TB of storage space will be sufficient for my needs!

its been a while since there has been a post in this thread so what should i be looking at spending and what components should I be considering?
