Right, here's what i want to do.
I've got a Korg MS2000R that i would like to build a wooden case for. I intend to have the Korg angled a little like an MS20 with a midi keyboard along the bottom (obviously!). Now, for the keyboard. It needs to be able to be powered by an AC adapter, have midi in and out and, very important this, have the mod and pitchbend wheels to the left of the keys and not above. This is because the bottom of the Korg will ideally be resting just above the keys. I've found the M-Audio AXIOM 25 http://www.dv247.com/invt/32482/ which appears to fit the bill, does anyone have experience of these? Are they any good? Are there any other keyboards that i'm missing that meet my requirements around the same price? Thanks in advance for any help, Neil. ______________________________

I had the Axiom61 but had to sell due to low funds and was desperate for cash.
Fantastic thing, really recommend the Axiom series, when I saw the thread title Axiom came into my head straight away! |

How about a cheap 2nd hand keyboard?
T3's Huge Gear Clearout You'd have to BYO AC adapter but it ticks all the boxes otherwise... |

I use the Axiom 49 but I'm not a player (well not in that sense of the word).
It works and is solid. Not the easiest to map to things but people do manage it - eventually. There are a few videos on youtube about the 25 - I recall watching them. ______________________________

Hi Neil,
Not that I know much but your post said MIDI keyboard, not a controller as well. I am picking up on that because you also want MIDI in and out and very few keyboards have MIDI in because there is nothing to control! Admittedly some might have an in and act as a MIDI to usb interface. Re the power skt, you will get that with almost anything but juice will come more convieniently via usb surely? Dave. |
