Need a control device that's portable, user friendly and affordable for use with basic Logic 8 functions (including virtual synths etc) and controlling DJ software at gigs (eg Traktor).
The new Novation Nocturn seems ideal.. http://www.dv247.com/invt/48363/ Any other suggestions/comments pls? Thanks ______________________________

Need i say more? The functions on this keyboard seem endless and have integrated pads from the mpc line of samplers so you can play virtual bongos as you dj! ______________________________

Hi Modz1,
![]() I don't know which is the best single controller for those tasks, but if you have large quantities of spare cash, a few of the Euphonix MC Mix controllers would be ideal for mixing within Logic. I think both the Novation Nocturn and NI Kore 2 would be good for controlling virtual instruments, but does anyone know how well they work within Logic? One of the Allen & Heath XONE controllers would suit Traktor, for example the Xone 1D or the new Xone 4D. Vestax also have a few nice MIDI controllers such as the VMC 100 and the VCI-100 or new VCI-300. |

The ultimate controller? Jazzmutant's Dexter - http://www.dv247.com/invt/46697/
The worlds only multi touch screen controller. The Dexter comes with loads of presets that will get it working with most DAWS and nowadays if you buy Dexter it'll come in dual mode which allows you to boot it up in Lemur mode and so you can build your own presets just the way you like them come and check one out at DV Clapham! ![]() |
