Default Yum!!

I want to get this purely for the motorised 100mm faders!

Now they've got a white one, I'm sorely tempted to ditch the black! *gurgly salivations*

This may sound like a really dumb question, but your not limited on the amount of faders you can control within a DAW such as cubase are you ? ie you can scroll through as many faders as are present on the screen. Its late, my brains not working properly and the fact it says 4x encoder groups is spinning me out.

That's correct! Drool; salivate; dribble; slobber; drivel; it's all relative!

A word of warning. I'm having major issues at the mo. The Behringer Editor for sending SYSExe over usb, does not work!

I started 10.00pm last night & I'm still can't get around the issue. It looks like this....

The editor is freeware & the java driver is to up to date for the app.

So then I hit Midi OX & I'm having trouble getting all the ports lined up in: DAW, Midi ox & then choosing global mode in bc2000 stand alone 1 to 4, coz usb mode didn't work/ the above time out. Oh by the way... I bypassed the usb cable (disconnected) & used just the 1 MIDI cable from my master keyboard.
Keyboardd:Midi out to bcf midi in. Still no joy. Information was getting through but it was just midi data being chucked through, not sysexe info. Lights on the bcf went mad.....Like it would. Still no sysexe info getting through that way though.

Honest. It's a right nightmare.

Now I'm here awaiting a membership for this editor (BC Manager 1.5.1), in the hope that this will work & at the bottom of the page....Dohh

Trouble is though it's only version 1.3. Errr???
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/bc2000/

I think it's a bit of a joke in this day & age that all I'm trying to do is send one preset to the bcf using their editor. Now I'm on a wild goose chase all over cyber world.

I think I'll write to them tonight. Freeware..I mean....come on. Either it works or it doesn't. In this case It doesn't.

*&%*&^*&^*%*^*&%*&^%*%*%*&%^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Midi information over USB & it doesn't send the information. Unbelievable.

Have you contacted Behringer Support ? I have always found them very useful in the past. Judging by your screenshot, I'm assuming you are using Vista. Have you got/does the BFR have Vista compatible drivers ?

But like I said, try Behringer support via their website. Very quick response times and very helpful

Thanks.

I ran the drivers in xp compat mode as that was the only option I had.

Do you know where all the updates are for the BCF2000 for vista?
I can't see any on the download page. Of course i could of missed something.

Although I have been on this isse for hours.

Which operating systems support USB data transfer to / from the B-Controller ?

Windows XP and Macintosh OS-X both support USB data transfer to / from the B-Controller.
You may still use the B-Controller with other operating systems eg. Win98 or Mac OS9 - you will need to use a MIDI interface instead of a USB port. In this case to ensure a constant maximum throughput of MIDI data, we recommend using only one B-controller per MIDI port.
---------------------------------
Sort of deaft's the object of the convenience of a usb port in the first place.
----------------------------------

Should a particular model not appear in this list, then at this time we are not offering Vista support for that product.

^
That's my answer.

Well, the latest drivers seem to be V1.2.1.3 and the latest version of the editor is 1.10 but there is no mention of them being Vista compatible. If you have those latest versions and it still doesn't work, you may find that it is Vista that's screwing things up.

From what I've managed to glean from Google, it seems it may not necessarily be the USB drivers but the application itself that is not Vista compatible.

Sorry I can't be of anymore help. If it's any consolation, Behringer are getting more and more of their kit Vista compatible.

Thanks. Ive just sent them a tech support question. Know the answer already but maybe it's time manufact's know that people are changeing over & some of us are stuck.

You would of thought that they would of used their own programers for the editor.

This sux large.

Purchased usb to MIDI cable:
Usb<midi,in,out.

Hope that the old system will work better.

Cheers for all your help.
